VITA YZ Zirconia is made of a homogeneous microstructure material without pores or defects, delivering more restorations per disc than competitors. It is manufactured in a uniaxial pressing process delivering high edge stability for highly accurate, precise fit.

True to shade match with pre-colored (Multi)Color discs, VITA YZ Zirconia material systems also integrates with coloring liquids, stains and glaze for individualization, veneering ceramics and firing units for stain / sintering.
Connector Thickness
To ensure the crown doesn't snap off during the milling process, budget zirconia usually requires thicker support pins (connectors), which consume more surface area and reduce the total number of units that can fit in a single row.
Gap Between Units
On economy materials, technicians often increase the gap between individual crowns to 3mm (instead of 1.5mm–2mm) to prevent vibrations from one unit's milling cycle from causing "chalky" chipping in an adjacent, already-milled unit.

Lower-quality discs often have inconsistent density near the outer ring. A 2mm buffer is mandatory to ensure the puck doesn't fracture when the milling tool applies lateral pressure.
